It's just an incredible miscalculation that anything he does to appeal to the trump base is going to result in then voting for him. He will never be tough enough on crime, hateful enough towards trans people, racist enough, etc. My assumption would be that the more he panders towards the right the less credibility hed have with the Democratic base.
But this may potentially expose that the issue many people have with trump isn't so much his policies but his crassness or demeanor. By and large they don't care but want to go back to a world where they can ignore politics. I hope I'm wrong and that is not the case.

They know Black people had nothing to do with it. Anti-Black racists, be it white or their non-white sycophants, think like children. They can't take an "L" and if they do, they throw a tantrum and have to get at or get "revenge" on anyone they perceive as having benefitted, even if that person or group has not and had nothing to do with the the "L" these people took. Ultimately, they don't like it when people they hate, black people, have anything nice.
So Kirk, a racist, dying was a personal "L" for them and now they have to retaliate against everyone. This is the only way to balance things out in their minds. As you can imagine, these people are not well in the head. They're literally stuck in grade school mentally.
