No doubt. I personally hate the cherry picking a lot of pastors do with the bible.
They'll preach about old testament stuff, then when something that they don't like affects them in the OT, they'll find a passage in the new testament that says it's okay and that doesn't applyl anymore.
Example: Eating Pork and non Fish Seafood.
Yep, there's a "rules are rules, nothing we can do about it" ideology with certain issues while they have blatantly bent or skewed rules in other areas.
I don't know why these things remain an issue. Homosexuality is made to be such a huge problem in backwards towns full of people who have never explored the world but in the cities where homosexuality is more visually prevalent, its a footnote no one cares about.
There will never be a requirement to accept homosexuality. In the church you can bash it all you want. You can even bash it in public but just like other controversial views, that can come with backlash. I'll never understand why this remains difficult for religious types to understand.
