Tell me why gays are attempting to destroy the St Patrick Day Parades all over the country, simply because they won't allow pro-gay groups to carry progay signs in the fukking St. Patrick Day Parades? St. Patricks Day is about celebrating Irish culture, not sodomy. Not sure why these nikkas must insert themselves into everything and make any situation about themselves in an effort to create controversy. Its getting disgusting honestly.

First of all, this isn't a new controversy. David Dinkins, back when he was mayor in the early 90s, criticized the parade for the same reason and boycotted it too.

Second, "pro-gay signs" in this case are just signs that identify the marchers as gay. The whole controversy this year was over a group of Irish military veterans who wanted to march being identified as both military veterans and as gay. The parade lets them identify as vets, but not as gay.

Third, if St Patricks Day is about celebrating Irish culture with no further specificity, then police, firemen, military, and workers' unions floats labeled by their unit or division wouldn't be allowed. Furthermore, they let random non-Irish people dance around half-naked on floats already.

Legally, it is their right to prohibit gay people from marching with gay-identifying markers, but there's no argument for it from the perspective of equal treatment. They should stop trying to pretend it's a matter of neutrality and keeping it focused on Irishness and just say they don't want gay people in it.
