Id rather not. Gears 5, while the open environments were pretty, didnt hit like that. Gears campaigns are more fun as a linear experience

That shyt was so terrible I quit after Vasgar. Gears works best with linear gameplay and set pieces with puzzle based bosses.

I still remember that underground boss in gears 2 that you had to toss grenades in its mouth.

5 was already.

It was like god of war (GoW and GoW ) where there was open maps to do things in and traverse. So this isn't new.

The problem is that gears isn't an RPG, so it didn't feel worth it to explore the entire map.

The series is trying to refresh itself but I don't think it makes sense to go in a different direction, there was a time where a lot of games were like classic Gears but not anymore, it's actually hard to find a traditional third person co op shooter in the current generation, so they shouldn't be trying to invent the wheel.

Host Gnasher was pure cancer. I remember getting into a gnasher battle with somebody on Ruins and get hit with a critical. I missed my shot and ran and I see the popup saying I killed him.

That Mexican was so pissed he ranted for minute about the advantage and wanted a 1v1.
