According to Fergusson, Multiplayer will be about intensity, responsibility and accountability and Black Tusk will stick to the canon “as best as they can,” but if they get in a situation in which they have to choose between what’s really fun and the canon included in a book or comic book, they’re probably going to stick to the fun decision.
That said, Fergusson also mentioned that they’re probably not going to invalidate the canon of any of the actual games.
He concluded the broadcast saying that he cares deeply about the franchise and he wants to bring it back to its former glory, apologizing because he can’t reveal too much just yet.

I couldn't care less about the story, just give me that in your face, RAW,INTENSE,WHITE KNUCKLE COMBAT.

That's one thing with these MP games, nikkas never could agree on what constitutes good balance. I never had a problem with the weapons in Gears 3 except for a few obviously OP'D dbl shotty at launch. I hated how they kept tinkering with the weapon settings like stopping power and whatnot.

thing is with me even tho balance is important i always thought the games lacked a good variety of weapons to choose from...just my opinion tho other than that gears was always in my top 5 franchises....love the art style of these games...especially gears 3

thing is with me even tho balance is important i always thought the games lacked a good variety of weapons to choose from...just my opinion tho other than that gears was always in my top 5 franchises....love the art style of these games...especially gears 3

That "variety" of weapons shyt is what ruins games that keep it simple . Even Gears 3 was treading on thin ice adding in a couple of new weapons. If anything, newer weapons should be relegated to PICKUP ONLY spawned at set times symmetrically throughout the map. I would hate for this game to get Halo 4'd.

Goddamn Judgement was pathetic. The more I think about it, the more I'm offended they actually pushed that trash on us. How do you shyt on one of the most loyal fanbases out there?

Idk breh. With how much personality the MP holds, I think story is very important here. Just think of all the adlibs you've heard in MP that either had you or . Cole Train, RAAM, Myra, all the Carmines, Ice T's character, etc would just be shallow character models without SP.

Skimmed that neogaf thread. The "you saved the planet, but killed it in the process" idea would buy longevity and keep it human vs ______ as they populate elsewhere. I'm curious to see where they take the story almost as much as MP, actually. I say create a way to force Marcus and 'em out of retirement or introduce a new cast in a future time. They can do a lot while still being true to form.

The chainsawing was my favorite part. reason why i brought my first xbox when i played the game over a friends house.
