100x better than all that trap trash that passes for rap these days and murdered Hip-Hop.
Super low bar but still, with some features this dude can do something.

The album 1000% exceeded my expectations. Even outside the gangsta rap element, you gotta give him credit for having no features besides glo and making his own sound (even if it is a rip off modern day melodic no limit sound)

No features has no bearing on the quality of the music and you can't have your own sound if its just a worse imitation of a sound that is already established. It's like saying the Suicide Boys have thier own sound when it's just a rip-off of 90's Memphis trap.

If I want to listen to 2000's southern rap I'll just listen to 2000's southern rap by artist that did it much better.

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ll say it again, Lil Wayne hopping on the “Tweaker” remix absolutely killed his buzz and I never thought that was possible. A Wayne verse used to be a major stimulus (regardless of whether it was trash or not), and Gelo instantly tanked with that remix. I haven’t heard a peep from Gelo since that song dropped.
