Yea dumb writing. U dont want to heal the chick that can read minds but u heal the old nikka in the basement u just met smh. If this dude controls Homelander its over. Maybe all this gets resolved in The Boys
.... first i thought he wanted to take over Marie as his next avatar. . . but from the end of this episode - now i assume that Marie is the only one who can heal him back to full humanity . . . so we will probably see a scene of Godolkin gettin his youth back and then the Cipher body will drop dead . . and the final boss battle will be the college kids vs God-Man . . .
. . .. i have a feeling that next week is gonna be some underwhelming "finale" just like Peacemaker and Alien Earth . . . the big cliffhanger will probably be Cipher takin over Homelander who was basically the President at the end of Boys SE4 . . . ..

Why did they write it like this? The writers wrote this shyt like they believed the big twist was actually gonna shock the audience. Like they thought this would get some Trinity Killer type reaction. That shyt was so predictable that it makes everyone of them supes look like morons. Marie especially. You dumb bytch, you knew Cipher's blood had no V in it...and you have the ability to check the old burnt nikkas blood and see that he does. And Jordan...both of your stupid asses got controlled by him. You too Polarity. Cipher told you he couldnt feel pain. All you fukkin idiot mutants who hang out together all the time couldn't put your heads together and complete the puzzle. You should have put 2+2 together at least 3 episodes ago. But no, instead its: "Are you Godolkin, inventer of Supes, who I assume is a harmless yet helpful ally? Yes? Great, if I heal you...can you help us stop the bad Supe with the regular human blood who's been hurting you?"

This is a spinoff of a show that had Butcher talking to an imaginary tentacle tumor Negan for an entire season...these twists are predictable.
are we just too into the whole "theory" culture of watching current tv, or are twists just telegraphed and obvious these days? we definitely watch tv differently than we did back in the day, but the burnt hot dog being the puppet master aka the Godolken or whatever was clear from like the second they showed that body. feel like a lot of shows are just hitting pretty obvious twists these days. maybe they just know the analyzation online will always reach of the biggest twist and think the obvious is actually a surprise these days? i guess some aren't even really meant to be twists, the internet just thinks everything is an Agatha Christie novel
