If gender is indeed a social construct, then why do we gender segregate in the sports world?

Why have separate gender classifications in professional basketball, tennis, or the Olympics
if as a "social construct," is meaningless on an individual basis?
Because women would get destoyed if they had to compete with men. WNBA players practice against male high school teams and get blowed out:skip:

The williams sisters got smoked by some :flabbynsick:cac and he smoked in between sets if I recall correctly:wow:.

MMA chicks who have fought that one tranny fighter have pretty much said they may as well had been fighting the hulk:gucci:

The Study's Conclusion:

This study adds to evidence from many previous studies of sex differences in children's toy preferences. We found evidence of strongly gender-stereotyped free preferences for objects, in both boys and girls aged between 9 and 32 months, when observed in independent play in a familiar play setting amongst familiar and unfamiliar adults and peers but in the absence of a parent. Therefore, the study adds to the literature in that the toy preferences of younger infants were tested independently of parents and in the presence of, but not interaction with, peers. The finding of sex differences in toy choice prior to the age at which a gendered identity is usually demonstrated is consistent with biological explanations of toy preference and with many results of highly controlled visual preference and habituation experiments. However, it is possible that preferences relate to previous positive experiences of play with similar gender-typed toys selected by caregivers (Alexander et al., 2009). The possibility that boys and girls follow different developmental trajectories with respect to selection of gender-typed toys is indicated. Thus, the results suggest both biological and developmental–environmental components to sex differences in object preferences.

so yeah...back where we started:francis:

the study wasn't controlled in that there was a pre-existing variable of the childrens home environment

Umm no

Bruh that was basically a disclaimer for the corny rebuttal "b-b-but what if the parents forced the girls to play with dolls before the study!" before anyone gets to say it. The kids started @ 9 months and science has to account for the room for doubt. :manny:

That doesn't disprove the neurological results nor the studies on hormones. and it looks petty compared to the mountains of evidence against it plus ages worth of antiquated wisdom/common sense. :umad:

shyt, if you wanna bold shyt I can bold shyt too

So which race is the most evolved :jbhmm:

No such thing as most evolved.

What makes a toucan more or less evolved than a bald eagle? What makes a chimp more evolved than a baboon? Nothing...they are all evolved to survive and thrive in their habitat.
Gender is a social construct....which means it has social FUNCTION.

Gender-neutral parenting is just one strategy (one that I disagree with, you let a kid decide their gender once they understand what it is. Before that you raise them to have the most FUNCTION in society...which usually is to ascribe to the gender binary).

as some one else said even race is a social construct so :manny:

Biological sex is not a construct....Things like testosterone have nothing to do with gender...those are traits of biological sex. There's plenty of people with hella estrogen who still mentally identify as male. :manny:

I don't see what's so hard to understand about that.

i forgot this one

If testosterone steers a person to any behavior associated with the "gender role" male then you're pretty much wrong :manny: Keep in mind the study suggests biological traits steered the children toward toys/activities associated with their gender.

That mental identification stuff is all bullshyt to me. if you can tell they have "hella estrogen" without testing their hormone levels you are lowkey admitting that he was exhibiting behavior you consider natural to females.

Gender and sex are the same thing people began to separate the words sematically to push this agenda.

Can YOU list traits that are sex vs gender where the examples are have exclusive and have no bearing on each other at all? aka no examples of Choosing toys, aggression/submission, sexual interactions etc? :sas1: I just want more proof you nikkas are completely making this shyt up as you go along.

shyt, what's stopping yall from thinking sex is a social construct again? Maybe the only reason you have a dikk is because everyone expects you too :ohhh: In fact I don't understand how people say sex is not a social construct like gender in one breath then support transsexuals in another :ohhh::ohhh:
