I won't say it works well. But I can say it's possible. Change the "giant" modifier to "thumbs" and change .webm format to .webp format
So it becomes something like this

The workaround no longer works.

So now gfycat and redgifs gifs cannot function on this site.

Most of my JBO posts are from those sites so that's a large chunk of my 'contribution' gone.

Bringing back the old rep system was fine. Also there’s no easy way to see what reps or rep comments someone left on any given comment now. Clicking on their rep on a post takes them to their entire rep history instead of showing what comments were left on that specific post.

Lot of old threads don’t load pictures people uploaded in them anymore too. Not sure what the issue is there. Have to make it easy to upload pictures like from your phone photo library.

Been saying it for a long time, but bring back hashtags. Made it easy to catalog things.

Think I suggested this before, but on the old board there was a block smilie function. In place of the image, you saw the word it was meant to express.
That's how I learned what each one was "saying" and how I interpret them now that I have to view them.

Not a fan of them and want the block smilie function added as an option. In my opinion, smilies should have died with the old board.
