I excused Manchin for a long time. I was wrong. He's got to go.
Not attacking you specifically but more just using your post to springboard on a thought I had on this shyt yesterday. A lot of these "blue dog dems" use the worry about their seat as an excuse to vote for something but, a lot of this shyt they use that excuse for more than likely would have no bearing on their home state elections. You really think a WV is going to vote for a different senator because for example you didn't vote to appoint a particular cabinet member? Cabinet member votes I can't imagine are big campaign sticking points. At least a vote against. Now if you voted FOR a particular person, I can see how it may harm you and play out politically if they turn out to be a "bad pick" for whatever reason. But voting no, doesn't seem to be a huge political cost imo.

So, being from WV is no excuse to vote for this guy.

I'm glad you're coming back to your senses. Unfortunately the damage has been done. Manchin's support of Trump gives credibility to Trump and the Republican base among white west virginians.

His inability to fight Trump (because he ultimately agrees with him) has set back any hope that WV can be looked at to lead the nation in any positive metric.
