It should be reiterated that if Trump is talking about the policy of family separation, that this is a Trump admin policy and a Trump admin policy alone.

Trump could end the policy today with a phone call, as Lindsey Graham has said.

Forcing the Democrats to vote on family separation to restrict legal immigration to help these kids is kinda genius unfortunately. The more the media focuses on this, the more Democrats will be forced to do something before they hopefully regain the House or/and Senate in 2019.

Republicans can't even pass a vote along party lines. Democrats seem to be on board with Feinstein's bill and if they get 50 votes, Pence voting against or Trump vetoing would be a gift for Dems heading into elections and another example of how republicans cannot lead.

Except Republicans have shown they have no shame in the fact they can't lead. Getting the judges and policy rollbacks is good enough for them I guess. Trump's white supremacy means he doesn't care how this looks and will let this ride for six months until he's forced to by a new Congress.
