Why do you all think that everything Trump does is a distraction or deflection from a "more important" or "incriminating" issue?

As of a few weeks ago, I'm told, ODNI Deputy Director Sue Gordon had been told that she would not be considered to replace Coats, and that she would not be selected to serve as the acting, which came as a surprise to her & other intel professionals.

Trump may go outside the normal protocol to name an acting DNI to serve until Ratcliffe is confirmed, sources tell me, @PamelaBrownCNN & @MarquardtA.

The admin is reviewing whether it can legally choose an acting director outside the line of succession, per one source.
