This post has been bothering me since you posted it Ex, is it sarcasm? This dumb fukk is using language that can easily be spun into "Dems calling for voters to cause trouble"
The Democratic Party Needs NEW Leadership
I feel like at this moment you have to choose your words carefully and I don't think John Lewis used the right words here man straight up.This post has been bothering me since you posted it Ex, is it sarcasm?
John Lewis, like Maxine, has earned the right to say whatever the fukk he wants to. I very much like that They are pushing back a little bit on the constant harassment, racism, bigotry, etc. they have been getting right out in the open. I take it as “we want the smoke” and it’s about time. I with Maxine and John, let’s get it

The Interior Department's inspector general will investigate Ryan Zinke's involvement in a land deal with a property development group backed by Halliburton Co. Chairman David Lesar, the IG said in a letter released by House Democrats. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-06-28/interior-department-s-watchdog-to-probe-zinke-montana-land-deal …

The people who want to misconstrue what John Lewis said, and what Maxine said, will do it regardless and even do it with shyt you don't think they would do it with. Nothing in Maxine's statement advocated violence and Trump said she advocated violence. Just made up shyt because it's politically convient out of thin air.I feel like at this moment you have to choose your words carefully and I don't think John Lewis used the right words here man straight up.
We are dealing with a man who is telling his supporters lies and they are believing him. By using the words "Good Trouble" you are giving Trump and his people ammo to be able to say "Hey this guy is inciting violence" "This guy is calling for some kind of left wing coup".
And yeah I'm aware of the irony...that Trump called for his supporters to harm protestors.
But I feel like now, more than ever, the politicians on the left need to be clear and concise in their statements. I know that that sounds a bit contradictory, but right now is not the time to be telling people to cause "good trouble".
Now is the time to tell people to get out and VOTE in November and tell them why they need to vote and tell them the consequences of not voting and what it will mean if this man gets another term, or IMO even worse, gets to choose more SCOTUS picks.
I do not feel like the Democratic base is energized right now...I feel like this country in general is getting fat and people are thinking "Well I'm good...so..." and no one is taking into account just how much damage this man and everyone connected to him is doing to the country short term and long term.
We still don't even know who is running for the WH in 2020...that person should be front and center, not necessarily attacking Trump, but talking about the issues that are really at hand here
-Healthcare
-The Environment (PR still in shambles, Flint still no clean water, etc.)
-Civil Rights being eroded on a weekly basis
-The Working Class getting the foot squarely up their ass and the Middle Class quietly anticipating their turn
Good Trouble? That WS Rally in DC is coming up...if something goes down, they will use statements like these in order to blame the left and Trumptards will eat it up and it will mobilize THEM to vote and believe me, these people don't need much.
I don't think any Dem should be using the terms "good trouble" but I also don't think any Dem should be out here defending Aunt Lydia Sanders and telling restaurants that they're wrong for not serving her.

Trump has consulted with advisers about a possible replacement for John Kelly, who's expected to leave the White House this summer, according to WSJ. https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-consults-advisers-about-possible-replacement-for-chief-of-staff-john-kelly-1530212632 …

I'm not seeing the message thoughThe people who want to misconstrue what John Lewis said, and what Maxine said, will do it regardless and even do it with shyt you don't think they would do it with. Nothing in Maxine's statement advocated violence and Trump said she advocated violence. Just made up shyt because it's politically convient out of thin air.
Stop worrying about that shyt as long as you're not actually threatening violence. The majority of Trump voters, are gone and are the type not to vote Democrat. Whether you use passive p*ssy language or not they think you're by your very nature evil. You only need to talk to your base and right now the base wants a fight and someone with fight in them.
Trump squashed that p*ssyfoot peace loving talk. He showed everyone you don't need it. Most people don't appreciate it. Politics are extremely polarized and hopefully there may be a day they are not, but in the mean time to win elections the best strategy is to play into that polarization for your own side.
Democrats biggest enemy isn't Republicans but democratic voter inactivity and apathy and this softshoe shyt isnt the remedy. Every site with a large left leaning prescence I've seen are on the side of Waters and says she is right. Only people putting a bucket of water on that is our ineffective leadership. This p*ssyfoot talk and walking on eggshells depresses turnout because voters see it as sycophantic.

Sources with direct knowledge of the situation have confirmed to me what the WSJfirst reported — that Trump has told people he's interested in Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff, Nick Ayers, or Budget Director Mick Mulvaney, to replace Kelly. https://www.axios.com/trumps-short-list-for-potential-john-kelly-replacements-f66d284d-f42c-4e89-be6d-c99753ac69de.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=twsocialshare&utm_campaign=organic …
