NOW: AG Barr says in a letter to Manhattan US Attorney Geoffrey Berman that Trump has now officially fired him, and that's that, rejecting any argument by Berman that a judicial appointment means he can't be removed.

Trump's whole presidency has been nothing more than a really bad reality TV show over the last 3 1/2 years.
Berman still won with his move. Barr was attempting to illegally appoint Jay Clayton to the position, who has no prosecutor experience and was clearly going to be yet another Trump lackey. Berman called his bluff and forced him to have Trump officially fire him, which automatically puts the Assistant US Attorney Audrey Strauss into that position. From what I see she's a legit prosecutor who will do her job. So unless they can force her to resign, Trump hasn't escaped trouble at all AND Barr and Trump both look bad yet again.
Yeah, I think thought Strauss will only be in until the US Attorney from New Jersey takes over July 3rd. The whole thing is a mess, beyond that, a disgrace. Berman has shown himself honorable.
Carpentino seems to be a legit career prosecutor.
This admin has me digging through assistant US Attorneys, deputy attorney generals, the knowledge has been great, but what a cost. You never even thought about this stuff in the previous admin.
