Because they want to downplay how ill he is. You can't spend months downplaying something that has killed 200K+ people and then be seen crippled by the very same thing.
Trump is directing his own treatment which is just going to hurt him in the long run.

How incredibly irresponsible of the entire medical community at Walter Reed, then. I don't want to believe doctors would go along with this farce. LOL but I have no problem believing they made the whole thing up though. Either way, everything coming out of the White House is a lie.

They're dealing with someone who believes in threatening the career and livelihood of any and everyone who doesn't drink his kool-aid. Not much they can do to force him to do anything since they can't refuse to treat him because of who he is. They're in a sh*tty position to have to constantly compromise with him.
