Yes, I think this Republican infighting is fukking fantastic, I love to see it! Trump's shytty ass bill failing is a good thing, as long as it doesn't lead to an even worse bill being passed, which is what Elon wants. So if Democrats start flirting with bringing Musk into the fold just because he's fighting with Trump it opens the door to some goofy shyt like Schumer voting for the GOP funding bill.

How does he save face after this failure? After being usurped by Elon?

One easy way for him to save face with his base would be calling Elon a Democrat saboteur after he's taken in by the Democratic party.
