Not a political L, immigration was in the Dems favor by a near inverse margin in 2020. The pendulum will swing back. Nobody supports women and children getting swept up but fascists
Everything can be tied to the ecomomy, you can blame immigrants for cost of living when the prices has increased significantly over a 5 year period. Of course low informational voters will listen to a fascist blaming immigrants when they struggling to pay bills.

2. Americans have little empathy for people here illegally, they don’t care if it’s a woman or child

I think it’s 100% a political L currently; at a time when we can’t afford to fall further. The country shifted 6 points to the right. You don’t have to try to appeal to Republican voters but there is plenty of swing voters that we need to capture. Democrats need to be come a bit more stern and a bit more law and order while still having humanity and empathy. Obama deported more motherfukkers than anyone. Obama is a law and order guy but still had humanity.

Kamala made a lot of mistakes, she should have. She should have accused Trump of taking a hardline authoritarian approach. she should have said she would be focused on the criminals and conduct ice activities in a humane way.
