I think most of us realized the cost of losing the election would be a complete dismantling of everything we once thought was a standard baseline decency, but perhaps not this quickly. Which has me concerned for what the next three and a half years have in store.

If the goal was to make life better for the disenfranchised, one would think not starting from a pile of rubble and millions of ruined lives would be preferable. But I suppose not.
