Wow. Most of the African continent will have no U.S. Ambassadors.

Most of these individuals are members of the Senior Foreign Service. They are career diplomats. And most of them were confirmed in the U.S. Senate after being nominated by President Biden.

I don't know how they'll fill in these posts. Political appointees aren't rushing to go to Somalia or Yemen.

My dad knows the current U.S. Ambassador in Mogadishu... he liked to meet with the Somali Americans routinely.
