Then you continued your defense of ICE in the next post after it was pointed out that ICE was created in 2003. You made the claim that we needed the function of ICE and it only needs to be reformed.

I was taken back that anyone could be defending ICE right now while they are functioning as Trump’s own gestapo spreading terror across the country.

Then I remembered this is what Blue MAGA does. You never want to adress the structural systemic problems Healthcare or the occupation of our government by a foreign country, You just want to make easy cosmetic changes so you can go to brunch.

Sloganeering of the worst kind if you don’t/cant deal with the root issues. Agencies did immigration enforcement before “ICE” and someone will do it after they’re eventually abolished/name changed. Tighten the scope of their mission so what’s happening now never happens again. I think the majority of the public still have no issues with removing violent criminals. Turning this into some abolish the police right/left type of thing is going to lead to the same dead end and that cant happen again.

My point about hhs, dot, and etc is they’re being mismanaged and people are dying so should we abolish them as well. The answer is obviously no(hopefully).

Trump has done the same thing with the national guard, other federal agencies, and arguably the local police over the rights of citizens and non citizens. That’s why I even stressed dealing with the root issue in my first sentence and tightening the scope of xyz mission which frankly won’t do enough when this administration and courts don’t care about the constitution.
