Damn there goes the classic post. Rafters worthy.

yeah idk why fah hasn't given him a banner at least

dude really has the his finger on pulse of not only American politics but the Black community and isn't a racist sock puppet

OMG it was always qualitative! Christ, I said George Wallace mentioned black people more than Trump did! Did you see me claim George Wallace was the most pro-black Republican candidate? No! This is nonsense hypothetical argument you're pursuing because the quality of Trump's mentions of the black community was not negative. He was trying to court the black vote, not spurn it in favour of inciting white animosity, like Republicans have traditionally done. I literally didn't think I would have to make this very basic quality-quantity distinction, so my bad. Trump could have very easily run a campaign like McCain or Romney, not mentioning black people in a positive or negative light. But he chose to mention black people quite a lot, and in a positive light. If Democrats fail to grasp this message, they will double down on this strategy that just handed them the most embarrassing political defeat in American history. You cannot just bury your head and say "Trump is the most racist ever!" over and over again when the rhetoric and votes don't really bear that out.

And I'm not even engaging you on your "nothing to lose" argument because I reject your basic premise that it can or should be reasonably construed as a denigrating statement.

totally normal reaction to DJT amirite
