“Homeless people” are not some monolithic thing that you can judge from where you sit.

Some people are homeless precisely because they lost their job.

I’ve learned that anyone in america complaining about their “tax dollars”

Are just doing so to find justification for hate and attacks on other citizens.

There’s more than enough tax dollars to go around.

The president spends millions on golf games.

You will NEVER convince me America doesnt have enough money to meet its citizens needs.

There’s more than enough money to improve housing/edcuation/job access in America.

And that has NOTHING to do with homeless people specifically.

Those are needs that will improve american society PERIOD.

“Zero tolerance” is millions being spent to pay nasty cacs to buss people upside the head for existing.

We’ve been here before in America. It’s crazy how easy it is for some of you to advocate abuse of citizens cause their “problems” are different from your own.

You are doing your best nasty cac impression in here. :scust:

You guys always expose how week your argument is, when you have to run to a strawman to justify it.

Now show where anyone, anywhere said homeless people should have free housing. :usure:

That’s exactly what MAGA cult people do. Ignore what’s being said and make up your own argument to argue against :smh:

The irony in this is you want “zero tolerance” which would end in homeless people getting “free housing”(jail) on the tax payers dime.

As always with you nasty fukks, it’s not the money, it’s you justifying attacks and abuse of people different from you :pacspit:
Why are you moving the conversation from homeless people?

California authorized 1 billion dollars to address homelessness in 2023 and have seen no return.

Homelessness is not a lack of resource issue like yall try to frame it.

You really think homeless people want a job :dead:. Allocating more of our tax dollars to homeless housing isn’t the answer. Every city has section 8 and shelters. All of that require you to be drug free with regular check in’s

There should be zero tolerance for what citizens have to deal with from homeless people when we are trying to enjoy public parks, sidewalks and spaces

So what do you do about the homeless population that wants to be homeless?
Not judge all homeless people by the worst of the worst. :comeon:

Sure there are some people that “want” to be homeless.

But there’s lots of people that can/will get their life together if given the chance, and there’s even more that could be prevented from ever becoming homeless if they had better socioeconomic opportunities.

The ones that “want” to be homeless. As a society if you want them off the streets whether they end up in jail or a shelter, it costs tax money. It actually cost more to “no tolerance” police them and take them to jail.

But again if housing/jobs/education prospect improve there will be less and less of these people, so those are the things you concentrate on.

Does the National Guard get overtime pay? They’re about to make the easiest money they’ve ever made.

They receive a stipend/“bonus” after 30 days. Which is why they’ll only be there for 29 days at the most for his bullshyt political theater.

Incoming morale decline for the national guard and military for the second time in six months. This guy is fast tracking his way to mutiny all to avoid the Epstein conversation and it’s still not working.

The writing is on the wall. :wow:

It's not a lack of resources, it's a lack of willingness from government and private entities to do anything about it.

1. Most homeless people aren't screaming schizophrenics. Living wages and minimum wage that automatically increases as standard of living does would significantly reduce unhoused people. That's a government fix.

2. We've destroyed the mental health and institution apparatus. It needs to be rebuilt. Because there IS a small percentage of people that shouldn't be on the streets, but they shouldn't be in jail either. Criminalization of the homeless means they STAY homeless. Another government fix.

3. Those who are homeless and able bodied aren't being put to work. We got a skill trade shortage, train them. Give them pride, give them purpose and we'll save most. Again, we'd need to subsidize those classes, but who cares? We could have public wi-fi and clean public bathrooms in every city in the nation. A "market" fix.

If we make it out of Trump 2.0, DC needs to demand statehood. DC has a larger population than Vermont and Wyoming and nearly as maybe as Alaska.
so do tons of other cities. no one ever explains exactly why it should be a state, and not just a city that's just absorbed by virginia or maryland

so you're right, that's the best thing to pursue. leave the government buildings as "DC", and have maryland absorb the rest so it's under democrat governor control
