Partly why the administration has not sought to detain or prosecute the survivors of the strikes, “because they could not satisfy the evidentiary burden."

There will be a lot of pain, but getting rid of the filibuster will force both parties to be honest. Republicans will have to own their draconian policies without Dems saving them. It will also force Dems to clearly pick a side. No more playing good cop/bad cop with the public.
And the stupid voters will have a much clearer choice.
