Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
1) first of all use JDownloader. that shyt has a built-in link grabber (copy-paste web address) and auto grabs from most websites without you having to monitor the downloading process...a human needs to enter the captcha if it exists....jdownloader is powerful and can grab files from most websites except for audiomack, vimeo embeds, and datpiff...take it for a spin, it can detect and grab files from most websites

in the linkgrabber tab, you have to uncheck what types of files you don't want and only keep audio and video for example

2) If jdownloader can't parse any links for you to grab via the main website link, you can right click the page > view page source > copy-paste the source text into jdownloader to see if it can parse any files

ALWAYS google for any online downloader helper tools for certain websites before you try the next steps...note, you shouldn't need to download any bogus software that doesn't work or that you eventually have to pay for

3) If you're using datpiff and can't seem to grab a file because it doesn't allow you to download it, don't just use a desktop recorder or a phone recorder to record the track...that's weak...actually get the file

For example Best Of Spittage Mixtape this mixtape is stream-only. if you want the files, open the stream > right click > inspect ....don't be daunted by all the crap you see. just go to the network tab and play a new song and see if the mp3 file populates in the filenames for you to download

To get track 1, click on track 2 and then back to track 1 and the network should locate the mp3 file being loaded..you can click to open in new tab or just save link as to download it (https://hw-mp3.datpiff.com/mixtapes/1/m2b391fc/01 - Track 1.mp3) click on track 2 and so on to get the rest of the files by detecting the streamed file by looking at the network tab https://hw-mp3.datpiff.com/mixtapes/1/m2b391fc/02 - Track 2.mp3

once you are on the mp3 file page, just right click > save file as... to download...this method works for podcasts, audio, video, etc because most websites don't protect their files from being found like this

^ if you are savvy, you can see the website directory naming pattern to generate filenames to retrieve the rest of the files without having to go through the entire "detect file process"

^ this method works for most streaming mixtape websites like mixunit, certifiedmixtapez, buymixtapes, spinrilla. etc...jdownloader can grab from mixcloud easily, too, even though mixcloud downloads as an 1-hour+ file

The inspect network is really powerful and can allow you to get files from prime, twitch, etc. a lot of websites have shytty programming and they don't hide their files very well

to get BET.com shows, you first have to log in (as guest using a bogus email) and stream the show. websites like BET only give you the video segment before the commercial break. so if the video is divided into 5 parts with 4 commercial breaks, you have to use the network inspector to hover your play cursor on every part of the video to download all 5 parts via the network tab...again, this guide is generic, I can get more into this but that's the basic idea (this process should take 5 minutes to detect and download all the parts). Once you get all the parts of the video using the network inspector, you can load up all the parts into a movie editor and re-publish movie into its full original length

4) if you are trying to get some random website embed, you can just right click > view page source > ctrl-f > look for the mp3 or mp4 file > save the hyperlink to desktop...again, don't be daunted by all the code, most of it is generic scaffolding anyway...or you can copy the entire webpage's code and paste it into jdownload's link parser (Linkgrabber tab > "add new links" button at the bottom left) for an easier time finding and downloading the files (and delete the files that you don't want to download before you start the downloading)

^ this method works for worldstarhiphop videos that don't play anymore ever since they ended adobe flash on browser...you can still download the files and play it locally via VLC player

5) to get vimeo embeds, use a chrome addon called Simple Vimeo Downloader and it would use the "injection method" for a download video button to appear on the top right corner of the video

6) there are some tools to get full rips from deezer that someone can fill in the details to

7) another tool I use is video download capture 6 (free version). Video Download Capture that software has a built-in chrome browser and it can auto-detect any audio or video file that you play when you are using its built-in browser.

NOTE: this is a last resort because this software is too powerful and would download half the website before you realize your file was already downloaded 20 different times (as different versions 480p, 720p, etc) in its download folder...when everything else fails, use this software and you will most likely grab it...just remember to clean out that download folder for files that you don't want over time

summary: download, install, and use every software hyperlinked in this thread. Use inspect element > network tab > click on a track or stream a new track > check for mp3/mp4/flv file > save as file

...feel free to add any other methods and details that you see fit, thanks
