Y'all think this is gonna be a repeat of Lexus and Infiniti? When Toyota and Nissan came out with the Lexus and Infiniti brands back then, the other luxury car companies were giving them that because BMW, Mercedes, etc.. was like "man sit your ass down and stick to cranking out Camry's and Sentra's"

I'm still thinkin the q50 has the best price/features/engine combo. Plus it's legit awd.

Yeah for the avg cat which most people are unless you're too tall I agree it has the best value out of all the other cars.

It'll take a minute. KIA been putting out some nice rides but there's still a stimga among the gen public that they aint shyt. I know someone who bought a nicer KIA and people stay sayin shyt like "nice car, what is this?"

That's cool but the if them shyts ain't saw as a status symbol car they just going to be ok cars for us regular folks. Someone might say nice car but hell if you cop a newer mid/fullsize car period somebody will say that. Its not the same as when you come through in the luxury cars which genesis is trying to become.

they might get there, like someone said Lexus and Infiniti did it but they also got a good rep of makin nice ass cars with tons of features, I don't know what Genesis is bringing to the table yet that will turn heads

They also had mainstream help. Do you honestly see these cars being hyped up by rappers and other famous people to make them cars cats dream of getting? Maybe they do but I can't see it anytime soon. Lexus and and Infinti esp Lexus had them runs where they were cars that meant something if you had one that doesn't currently translate to the Genesis brand. Its not like you'll get clowned getting one just don't think most would cop these over the other brands first. Would you?

No, I wouldn't yet.. it's too early and I think my next ride gonna be the q50 because it makes the most sense for me. I'm not decided yet but something like a Genesis would be way down the road, I need to see a track record.

The q50 is nice esp since you can cop a low mileage one for about 25/6k with less than 10k miles on them.

ya same for C class and 3 series, 5 series is more like 30-35K but I always say I feel like the q50 got more to offer for the best price

Yeah I was about to say with that mileage you definitely looking at 30-35k or more for the most part. My youngest sister was looking at these cars earlier this year and ended up getting a q50 for the same reason you're thinking of getting one.

Luxury market was still relatively young back then. Leasing done changed the game and put luxury cars into everyone's hands. It's a much more mature industry now.

Toyota wouldn't be able to pull off the same thing now. They couldn't even crack the young sport cheap market with the Scion.
