I dont try to avoid them romantic dramas don't move me. The only ones I've seen that I could say I honestly enjoyed are cloud atlas and the time travelers wife.

Horror....only because gore =/= scary. Suspense and anticipation are much scarier than just your typical gore fest.

Rom-Coms usually suck...even though Silver Linings Playbook is TECHNICALLY a rom-dark com and I fukking love that movie.

Horror movies. They don't scare me because I know they fake and they almost never have good stories anyway. Last horror movie that scared me was the exorcist and that's cause I was like 12 when I saw it.

same here. I don't like horror movies at all. like that genre of film just doesn't interest me. kinda crazy, cuz my wife LOVES those movies.

Musicals - I know its only for a specific demographic but I hate the show tune shyt.

This thread was made for horror - even when its rated R its cheesy. They shouldn't all be bad but they manage to be. In a genre where the director is free to have either reality-based or supernatural elements and is able to play off fear there's nothing scary about em.

it's just incredible dude, it transcends the genre. plus the American dub is fantastic, billy crudup, claire Danes, billy Bob Thornton, Minnie driver. anime is extremely hit or miss but both of those films are perfection
