So few people it gets hard to draw some type of conclusion from it

Like Cali is 10 times bigger than Oregon, Texas 23x larger than Hawaii or 50x something larger than North Dakota

The Black QB phenomenon is real...that's my main take.

Kyler and PattyMo would have played baseball 35 years ago.

Jalen would have run option at Nebraska or got converted to a different position.

Texas always put out the best running backs (dikkerson, Peterson, Tomlinson, Earl Campbell etc), but the high schools shifted to pass-oriented offenses and the QBs followed. Art Briles at Stephenville H.S., Ty Detmer's pops down in San Antonio....they had a big hand in moving other TXHS coaches towards the spread.

NFL is too small of a sample size but the trends become obvious when you look at college ball. I'd bet Cali and TX are still pumping out crazy numbers of QBs.

I mean you can technically claim Stafford since he went to high school there, bit he didn't really "grow up" there 🤣
We using their birthplace or where they played HS ball?
We using where they spent the majority of their adolescence, according to public reports.
Pennsylvania fell off.
:francis:
Only Pennsylvania QBs I know of are Montana and Marino. I haven't known PA to really be known for much recent star football players since Shady McCoy and Saquon.

Bryce Young was born near Philly but they moved to LA by the time he was 5.
California run it, my good brother! 🤣

Aaron Donald and Darrelle Revis are both from Pennsylvania.

College ball would be better.
Don't really follow anything other than the occasional bowl game.

But I can't say if Texas or Cali in general produces more starters than GA or Louisiana adjusted for population. Or what the volatility is from year to year.

What we can say is that all states mentioned are overrepresented with regards to their share of the us population :yeshrug:
