Georgia Tech recruit decommits from school after campus police harassment

ATLANTA – A highly-touted high school football player is talking about his decision to decommit from Georgia Tech after a “bad experience” he said he had with campus police over the weekend.

Jordan Johnson, an offensive line prospect from Ed White High School's Class of 2016 in Jacksonville, Fla., announced on Twitter Sunday that was he was withdrawing his commitment to Georgia Tech.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One of the First Coast’s top 2016 offensive line prospects is headed north of the Florida-Georgia border.

Ed White’s Jordan Johnson announced via his Twitter account, Wednesday, that he has committed to Georgia Tech.

Johnson, the younger brother of former Rutgers offensive lineman and current Baltimore Raven Kaleb Johnson, is the 21st ranked guard in the 2016 class by both Rivals and 247Sports. Both have him ranked as a three-star prospect. ESPN has him as a four-star recruit and the 23rd ranked player at his position.
