The fact that you're in a small gym makes it worse because the coronavirus will be more concentrated in said space.

And you can be as careful as you want but there's gonna be other asymptomatic brehs in there wiping down thier sweaty faces and sharing the water fountain as well as the bars.

But I also do a lot of cardio and would prefer to avoid long term damage to my lungs (hearing 20% of people that recover have issues like that)

The last week gyms were open, March 13-16th, in Miami at least. It was crazy. People literally wiping down the entire machines before and after. Bars, pins and all.

In regular times though, people rather clean the equipment before they use it let alone when they are done.

Orange County inches toward reopening amid coronavirus


ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said Monday morning’s severe weather served as an example of why businesses need to begin the reopening process.

At least three tornadoes were confirmed by the National Weather Service in Marion, Seminole and Brevard counties.

"Without the hotels we cannot adequately shelter people in case of a storm," Demings said. "I know that time is of the essence."

Every state will be doing this soon. America is not a nation that can practice social distancing as needed to save lives and function as a society on a more limited scale with restrictions being lifted incrementally as time goes on. The shelter in place mandates were to remove potential infections, relieve the healthcare system and allow the development of a social distancing policy that would protect essential workers and the non essentials that needed the services of essential businesses. That policy would be in place when the shelter in place orders were lifted.

If what I've been seeing out here in the past few weeks is the social distancing that will be in place during these phased reopenings it might be a hot summer, as a wise man said. The shelter in place won't be extended indefinitely though, the states can't afford it.

I used to tell TLR that no one is safe from being sacrificed for the sake of Capitalism, now you're about to find out what your apathy has bought you.

Sweden never even locked down and Denmark is planning on opening in the near future.

So even the quasi-socialist countries aren't trying to lockdown for several months.
