No, it really is fake. I was looking for a video from my fave Afrocentric historians but I couldn't find it. They said that the German man who created it was using ancients pigments on a modern sculpture of his very German wife. Lmk if you want the vids, they were hours long breaking it down.

This is a strange story, because Germany returned the Benin bronze they had to Nigeria. Maybe they just don't want to return the statue to Arabs who are not Egyptians.

I’ve seen this statue in Berlin. Without a doubt, the most visually striking statue of a person I’ve ever seen. I remember turning the corner, seeing the bust 3 rooms down and it took my breath away. It looks hauntingly realistic and it effectively conveys Nefertiti’s timeless beauty. The fact that it was made in 1345 BC, makes it even more impressive.
With all that said, Germany needs to return this back to Egypt.
