Anybody have any suggestions for Oktoberfest events in Berlin? I'll be there in October :patrice: Better yet, are there any spots in particular that are best for finding some ivory queens? :feedme:

i just came back from playing a festival in munich this past friday/saturday. before this past month, it had been about 6 years since the last time i'd been in germany. i feel like i changed more, can't say too much about the place any more. it's still is interesting to say the least. next time i hope to spend more than a few days and outside of business related work.

If you plan on getting a tent...you gotta get there maddddd early son...or you going be waiting for a minute...as far as events...I don't know man...shyt was all in one big ass area....they got food...amusement and beer...and damn near everybody was drunk and or drinking... as far as me...I was getting oiled up on my way to Munich and stayed that way till I got there and maintained my buzz... was like that till the next day...sorry I can't help you with that info...someone on here might be able to though.

I'm going to Berlin in September, probably stating in Neukoln. I'm looking forward to it, I keep hearing great things about Berlin. Will probably make a day trip to Hamburg too.
Any suggestions?

i was last in germany in 2012, so i have no idea how much it has changed,but..
any place is cool when you know cool people from that place.
germany was a fun experience.
funny saying that considering i was born in germany, but never felt like a german.
but like i said, i know people from there and i speak the language.
oktoberfest was cool, but i didn't stay too long.
beer and bratwurst were the highlights of the fest
i still dream of some of the bread and cheese i ate in munich in the mornings

Have fukking fun. Oktoberfest is a legit good time. There is usually a place where everyone throws up, go bag a drunken hoe and go home

On lunch went to the Asian market (they got all kinds of international brews/wines :ehh:) for HB German beer and had a thought about planning a trip to Oktoberfest. Any updates to this thread? I'm trying to figure a budget for a week out there. Chances are it probably will be more likely 2020 if at all tho

No updates for me yet, I'm going next month.

Octoberfest next year is probably too for away to get good bundles on. I figure 3-6 months ahead of time is best (though maybe I'm wrong, you should check Expedia).

I coincidentally will be in Berlin during Octoberfest (Octoberfest is in Munich, but there are smaller celebrations in Berlin and other cities too). Even though Octoberfest sounds cool to me, I'm drawn to Berlin more since it seems like there's more to do overall.

What you doing out there? Can you navigate easily only speaking English? Any advice/expectations you can give a first timer? Resources you'd recommend?
