It was homicide by silicone.
The city Medical Examiner has ruled the death of a Maryland woman during a botched butt injection at the hands of a quack Queens doctor a homicide, the Daily News has learned.
Kelly Mayhew, 34, who worked for BET, drove to the Big Apple with her mom in search of a bigger backside May 30.
She never made it home again.
“The cause of death is systemic silicone emboli due to cosmetic silicone injections of buttocks,” Medical Examiner spokeswoman Julie Bolcer told the News. “The manner of death is homicide.”
An initial autopsy had been inconclusive.
The “doctor,” whose name police have not released, fled the scene that day. Soon after, her lawyer was in touch with detectives to arrange a surrender, but that never happened.
The NYPD said Wednesday that there were “no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.”
Mayhew’s doomed trip to Queens ended in a basement apartment of a two-family home on dikkens St. in Far Rockaway that doubled as the phony plastic surgeon’s office. Mayhew and her mother had arrived for the procedure around 5 p.m.
But Mayhew had problems almost immediately, gurgling and struggling to breathe after silicone was injected into her rear, her mother told police.
Mayhew’s frantic mom performed CPR on her fading daughter and demanded the “doctor” call 911.
Unbelievably, the quack grabbed her keys, ran out of the house and sped away in a gray SUV, sources said.
The mother called 911 herself.
A freelancer for the BET Networks who boasted online about her curves, Mayhew was taken to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital but couldn’t be saved.
“Too soon only 34 years old, mah heart can’t believe it,” Mayhew’s sister Cece wrote on Facebook shortly after Mayhew’s death.
“Our heart goes out to her family and we extend our deepest sympathies for their loss,” BET spokesman Jamie Owens said in a statement at the time.
Mayhew’s final post on Facebook was a photo of Nikki Minaj and Beyoncé. “Love,” reads the caption.
Her Facebook page also features a collage of pictures showing off her curves.
“Brains Beauty Boobs and Booty!” reads the caption.
Mayhew’s mother told police her daughter was healthy and had five previous butt enhancements.
Sources said Mayhew’s fatal procedure was organized by a family friend. The suspect didn’t live in the basement apartment, sources said.
