They pretty much made a decision to not value your claim because of lack of police report. Of you had collision coverage they still had responsibility to cover you.

Unless they have a packet of documents that show you tried to do fraud and all the prior dmg was documented then they got you. But if not see a lawyer if it's within statue of limitations.
