Ranking in Kyokushin begins at 10th kyu (orange belt) and counts down until you reach black belt.
(Do not confuse "beginning rank", with being a 'beginner', though.
A beginner will actually come in with ZERO rank, as a white belt.
Your rank doesn't begin until about 9 months or so of training. Then you grade for the first time and earn some color which is Orange belt, 10th kyu, if you pass).
I am 9th kyu (orange belt w/tip).

took it around the time man of steel was coming out (reason why i bought the shirt at old navy) and i was training for warrior dash...i had a crazy pump that day so i took several pics
