I absolutely HATE responses like this.

There is no place to be blaming the victim here. You’re acting like they saw a “No ******s” sign and showed up anyway. They made reservations for this spot cuz they wanted some sushi. They were looking forward to eating sushi at 5:15, only to be denied that at the last minute for no good reason at all. Getting upset over that is a perfectly normal and acceptable reaction.

Deflecting to the existence of black owned restaurants is pointless as well. This is ONE meal in this couple’s life. Just cuz they wanted to eat sushi for that one meal doesn’t mean they don’t support Black restaurants.
