Nas, Jay, and 50 were primarily mostly influenced by the sound of NY hip hop.
Dipset were influenced by the south. And a lot of these kids and 20 year olds are listening to a lot more and probably being more exposed to more southern hip hop than say Nas was.

It's an awful and illogical comparison considering kids growing up in the 00s were being exposed to a lot of southern shyt so obviously it's going to have an affect on the sound of their music
