Survival of the fittest
I may be off base here but I feel like the daughter was a bit of a victim in this too. I mean she was sleeping with numerous men and women at the behest of her parents.
Yeah I wondered if she was hypnotized as well....or just a hateful ho
The smile after she started getting choked out :picard:

Watching Get Out for the first time with a Black audience was a cultural event. You just had to be there fr. 😭

8 years ago on this day, Jordan Peele released his directorial debut ‘GET OUT’ and changed the genre forever.

67/91
@BougieeRed

69/91
@sosillywilly26
The reaction all of us had in the theater to the cop car pulling up at the end haunts me to this day. We all assumed it was over for him. That’s art imitating life heavily because NONE of us were relieved to see a cop even though he needed help.

70/91
@nameholdsweight
The whole theatre when Lil Rel showed up to the end >>>>>>

71/91
@MariProbably
Sat in that theatre for 30 mins after with total strangers talking about it, had a whole ass Socratic seminar

GksE1diXcAAPCoC.jpg

75/91
@BrianFromWork
I can hear the “awww helllll nawwww” right in this moment 💀

76/91
@CooolJay_
It really was special one of the best movies I ever seen at the theater. Once it got to the climax the whole room was reacting to every second 😂

77/91
@Michaeljscottii
I became an actor after watching this lmaoo

78/91
@G2thAdon
No matter how big TVs get nothing beats a good movie at the theatre

79/91
@hunnyspeaks
When the police car came and everyone gasped “no” until we saw who was in it!

80/91
@avellanathe3rd
It also really showed me how different our realities based on race bc my white family members either didn’t get it or hated it

Scene (the whole entire movie actually) had me acting like Regina Hall in that movie theater scene from Scary Movie 1. Still one of my favorite movies of all time. Definitely one of my favorite first viewing movie’s. I’d probably rank it Bad Boys II, Dawn of the Dead 2004, then Get Out.
