man i remember when i got my first 6 figure job 5 years ago....i didnt even really enjoy earning the money because i was obsessed with paying off CC bills, my then car note, and putting a significant dent in my grad school loans, and saving to buy a condo..it took me until 2016 to finally feel comfortable enough financially to enjoy the fruits of my labor

don't recall if I mentioned but I was lucky that my credit was so fukked up so young that I never qualified for a CC

Similar thing as me. I had no credit when I tried to apply for an unsecured credit card so I was denied. Had to put $300 to get a secured one. Lowkey it was a blessing disguise as it forced me to live within my limits, so even if my spending was reckless. I could only go in the hole a couple hundred bucks, whereas some of my boys are in the hole a couple thousand (4k-6k). And we haven't even addressed car notes and other loans.

I was sitting pretty until 6 months ago

Then I bought a house and got accepted to school

$110,000 in debt just dropped into my lap

:heh:

And that's not even Including the mortgage

Next four years will be fun

:snoop:

Why didn't you do community college to the first two years and then transfer? lol

It's crazy this got upped

:wow:

I got into law school so I couldn't do what u suggested

I actually ended up working two jobs part time to pay school, was making like $45-50,000 a year and still graduated with top honours with no debt, and i ended up leveraging my student loan to invest in real estate

I ended up making $300,000 in the three years I was in school

:blessed:

Man, I still remember what I was feelin that summer of 2014

Debt free this upcoming March.
:wow:

My savings are coming along after being railroaded by my health and work lapses this year, but we still moving.

Can't wait to go back to school in May. Grinding away at work it's the only thought keeping me going.

Year is almost rounding out people. Make getting out of debt a priority for 2019. I'm still on track to being debt free by the end of January 2019. With the talks of a recession in late 2019/early 2020 it's imperative to have the best financial standing possible.
I can't stress this shyt enough!

Tomorrow, I am paying off my last bit of credit card debt. From there, I will just have student loans and a car payment, both of which I am going to try and pay off this year.

The amount of fights my wife and I use to get it into because we had no money but our salaries were good :russ:. Feels so good getting past that stage.
