When and what part are you trying to go in japan? I'm working on relocating there permanently.
Out of curiosity what made you decide to relocate there if you don't mind?

By winter I'll have my 25k in student loans paid off in 13 months.
Save a large sum of money in your savings account while you're loans are accruing more interest and not bite the bullet brehs.
I've heard it's good and bad to pay off your loans too quickly. Making timely payments shows CRA's that you're responsible and also builds credit history. My credit score has gone up dramatically because of it.
its just time breh. I just got tired of america and its bullshyt.Out of curiosity what made you decide to relocate there if you don't mind?
you've paid off 25k in 13 months, or your 25k loan will be done in 13 months?

One thing I will add to this thread is to never, never, ever get involved with online payday loans. You sign them documents and receive the money in your account next day or whatever, thinking you will just pay them on payday. Thoughts of just doing the minimum or paying the refinance/rollover fee while nothing going to the principal. Before you know it, the $300 loan you took out weeks ago, you have paid damn near $300 in refinance fees and you still owe $300 + 800% interest. I messed around with this viscous lifestyle for a few years, wasted soo much paycheck cash on it too. Once I was done with that mess, I said I would never go back unless it was an emergency that I couldn't cover with money in my bank account.
I remember reading horror stories of people having 8 payday loans out, fees putting they paycheck in a chokehold cuz they can't pay their rent, car note, and utilities. Debt collectors for these companies would call and threaten jail time, wage garnishment, arrest at your job and worse. Found out 95% of those payday loan companies are operating illegally, not licensed to do business in the state you live in, rollovers were illegal and you were only obligated to payback the principal. Them companies weren't trying to hear that, no fukks given about state laws, and the continuously draining of your bank account/paycheck. Debt websites helped, found out what lenders were legal, and gave you draft letters to send to get them to settle.
Story's made up by the biggest scammers ever CC/loan company's to keep ppl in debt , dont get me wrong my credit is good but it was by accident because i went so hard on paying off debt, i believe i said it in the the OP but ive never owned a CC (only by luck again) but i never plan on owning one and my girl hasn't used hers in two yeaars . If we cant pay/buy something in cash we dont get it that simple
Trust me when your debit free and have cash in the bank , and show up with cash to buy something no one is going to deny u buying some cash cuz u have a low credit score, cash is king. My current goal is to get my credit score to O.
there is nothing wrong with living like that and you are correct that nobody is gonna turn down cash, but i disagree about not having a credit card, i think you are conflating debt with credit
having debt is bad, having credit is good, you should get the highest credit limits you can get without actually using the credit
Problem is most people aren't disciplined with money and especially not with credit cards which alot look at as "free cash" idk I've personally seen too many people ruin themselves financially by getting credit card swipe happy but yea in today's society I understood why I good credit score is important
Don't go into default, try to get a deferment. Call them and say you can't make the payments because you don't have enough money. I think you have to reapply every 6 months but it won't jack up your credit.Need advice.
I don't make alot of money but I'm thinking about letting my school loans go into default.
I don't make much so I don't credit St this point, it gives me time to try to come up with a good career idea but I'm worried about the effect if will have on my credit.
I have car payments that I intend to keep on paying far and credit cards, I cannot handle the school loans though their 32k.
I filed a ibr and they're telling me 150 a month and I can't do that.
Realistically speaking, I should probably let that go.
At this point outside of a car and place most of us can probably get away with bad credit.
