I just wish that some people tried to change their own circumstances to add happiness and remove toxicity from their lives.

If someone hates their family and has no friends, they can still use the day to be thankful for whatever in their life does bring them comfort or happiness. A pet, job, having a roof over their head etc.

Life is rough and I'm not suggesting to necessarily abide by traditions forced upon people by power holders. I'm suggesting using a day off to somehow assuage stress

Anyone who has a problem with this has issues.. I don't celebrate this day myself, and I see my family throughout the year as well.. But its never anything wrong with still connecting with those who do.. People should actually use this day to put that phone down and speak with other humans in their family.. Social media has large part in harming humanity.

I am having thanksgiving with my family and I’m with you on the people are annoying with acting like black people celebrate this or many other holidays as anything other than just a day off that we use to get with family. We know what the pilgrims did and don’t celebrate that. However why do you care if someone celebrates it or not. Many people see they family about every other weekend and always show they love and appreciation and don’t need an ordained holiday to make them. Given it’s not a real holiday to us in the sense we don’t celebrate it for what America created it for… it’s not a big deal nor does it mean someone is ungrateful. You think you sound rational but instead sound like a a$$hole

At the end of the day, you can't erase what Thanksgiving is celebrating. It's celebrating the genocide of the native Americans by white colonizers and the destruction of indigenous populations. Essentially, it's a white supremacist holiday designed to stimulate spending in a capitalist society to make sure businesses maximize their profits before and on the end of the year. White people would want you to believe that they purchased America fair and square...and shared this land alongside their new neighbors like equals...but nah...they did the Native American tribes DIRTY.

No doubt. Im kicking it with my family today and making rounds to other friends houses for a minute.. Im never going to miss out on a time to be with family, regardless under what day it falls under.
