You think people haven't, its probably isn't more say in the forefront due.

By people I meant the people who criticize Tyler Perry on this site. Paramount has released tons of movies since the last transformers, I haven't seen anyone mention anything negative about that studio. Neither have I read anything negative about Bay.

Thing is more and more people need to be made accountable for. Some of his movies are okay, Daddy Little Girls for one. but some of the shyt.................And lets not act like its alllllllllllllll Tyler Perry either because we have alot of other lesser knowns in the market, defining themselves this way

Make TP accountable, I'm all for it. But again, in every Tyler Perry thread I read y'all nikkas saying make him more accountable. But where are you guys asking for Parmount, Columbia, Warner and Universal to be accountable for the films they green light?

I've heard dudes call Jamie Foxx, Lee Daniels, and Steve McQueen c00ns for Django The Butler, and 12 years a slave.

But I don't see too many cats on here saying anything about the heads of Columbia, Fox, and Weinstein for those movies.

thats one of my favorite TP movies breh....

thats what im saying...in another thread about TP i made the point that a lot of cats dont know that less than half of his movies have been madea movies....they wont give any of his stuff a try because theyre minds are already made up

Because he is constantly giving folks a one-sided view which goes back to the point i was making.

let me see if i understand? youve seen all of his work....contributed to his bottom-line.....just to criticize it? :patrice:

look breh...his stuff clearly isnt for you...there are millions who disagree with you....:manny:

money is not important to me
so paying to accurately educate myself on the images he uses is required

there are millions who smoke crack also

that means nothing to me

i dont want dude out of business
i would like him to place an emphasis on providing truly positive images for Black Americans---

i don't think he is a bad person
he was abused as a kid
homeless and had negative male influences in his life

so that is what prevails in his work

there is no way a black person should not see atleast one thing wrong with his work

but it is understandable how people love it because we have been conditioned to view ourselves as less in the media

My parents grew up watching Sanford & Son(poor black people who laugh in their pain)

-Good Time(poor black people laughing and c00ning it up in their pain)

we do not expect much from the media

so we are just happy to have anything

but we need to ask for better

Good Question, Because TP is a fraction of a whole. All sides need to be brought to the table and court need to be held. Alot of these movies and shows are just.....man i can even come up with the right curse word. It makes me think about how the pictures were painted back in the 60s and 70s.

been wrong before :yeshrug:

i still stick to my point that the majority of men dont want to see relationship movies

Maybe......but what im saying is this. hypothethically speaking, say me and you are having a dialogue on the black woman or just females in particular and trying to understand the mindset of said individual...........wouldnt it be more ideal to have the inclusiveness of a female to bring a certain level of understanding?

b/c he's messing up the future of black movies & TV shows. We will have no range outside of low-brow, predictable black movies that are borderline cringe worthy

If the only thing Hollywood sees as semi-successful is Tyler Perry-ish type stuff, then that's the only black stuff they'll put out. You want an entire lineup of black TV shows like House of Payne?

That's why, even tho he's overexposed, I'm glad for Kevin Hart. At least he provides an alternative b/c for a few years it was nothing but Tyler Perry on TV and the movies.

Dude has a billion dollars....take a creative/financial risk like other hollywood big wigs do. Make a semi-big budget black action movie....break a new black star, etc. You never know, you might hit a gusher and in turn make the future more viable for black actors

Tyler Perry has nowhere close to a bil, his net worth is no more than $400 mil. :heh:
So he's suppose to use $60+ mil OF HIS OWN MONEY to make a black action film, like George Lucas did with Red Tails? Then after Tyler supposedly makes that action flick, like 200 people will actually see the movie. :what:

As I said, the dudes on this site and others never bring other studios to court.

It reminds me of something that happened in another thread. Dude was saying we need to start a Facebook page shaming black women who give poor customer service, but had absolutely nothing to say about how yellow cacs, brown cacs, and cac cacs treat black people.

FYI studios RARELY take financial risks. The CEO of these companies have a board to answer to. The movies they green light with huge budgets are because they expect a sizeable return on their investment. I wouldn't expect TP to do that when he has a small fraction of the budget of these other studios.

Lee Daniels is a c00n for many other reasons. His comments about HIV and black women along with perpetuating the "down low" myth are just some other examples.

Tyler Perry has close a bil in assets, combined with his net worth. And you dont need $60 mil to make an action film these days unless ur Michael Bay or somebody. On top of that, some studio would be willing to finance part of it.

Bad example....b/c George Lucas doesnt have a black following :rudy: You think Star Wars means anything to the average black person who watches Tyler Perry films? I dont even ike TP films and at the same time I've never seen Star Wars, any of em.

Tyler Perry has influence. All he'd have to do is get on Steve Harvey or Tom Joyner like he always does and tell ppl to go see his new movie and they will go.

But whether they go in droves or not is not the point, the point is to do something new. You already went from homeless to being one of the richest ppl in Hollywood. I think he's ok to lose a few bucks.

Look at what Spike Lee used to do on a shoestring budget back in the day.
