Clearly the bigger/more the diamonds the more carats it has unless it's fake. Don't be stupid.

I can show you a 3/4 carat diamond that looks exactly the same to your eye as a 1 carat diamond in the setting. It all depends on how large the table is, the girdle thickness, the angle of the diamond, etc... A diamond with a large table will look larger because that's what you see when it's in the setting but it won't sparkle anywhere near as much as a diamond with a proper light reflecting cut. That is why often the cut of the diamond can have more of a bearing on price than just the weight.

honestly its good for him. lets him know who she is before he finds out 15 years down the line. he can either get a bigger ring, which i doubt will happen, or find someone who doesnt give a shyt but only cares about the actual love they share.
