Because G-Unit was known for mostly I guess "commercial" singles during that time, it must be said how underrated Hustler's Ambition really was. That was the single for the album and gets overlooked a lot. Great song.

Material is material for fans, it doesn't matter if its albums or mixtapes, but 50 Cent could definitely have extended his run if he kept some of the great songs that he put on the G-Unit radio mixtapes for his albums, I mean, even his core fans forget some of the great songs he put on those mixtapes, almost wasted completely.

Beat had the makings of a classic but 50 was just okay on it imo

I agree, I meant more that he made that the single. It wasn't a single type of track, and I feel he brought the quality down because he tried to make the song to fit some single "standards". Don't know if it makes sense.

Btw, to my other point of great songs from his mixtapes getting wasted.

I just went on youtube and typed G-Unit radio, and came across songs like Like a Dog and The Mechanic (songs I don't remember, or most of his fans wouldn't even remember), imagine those type of songs on Curtis or the album after it, instead of trash like Amusement Park. He damaged his own run.

edit. o shyt didn't even realize that The Mechanic has the same beat (sample) that Kendrick used for MAAD City - I wish it was mixed better. Great track.

If you're a core fan you know about those songs, it was on a core official mixtape.

You mean casual 50 fans don't know those songs

Was rewatching the movie over the weekend and been listening to the soundtrack as a result, 50 was damn near flawless with hooks between Power of the Dollar until Massacre
