My only argument with it not really being a choice, is we are literally allowing the unvaccinated to let the virus run rampant and mutate. Then when something we can’t treat at all or the vaccine is ineffective against pops up, we are right back to square one.

Exactly….

When the next variant is formed that gets past the vaccines, the unvaccinated will be first in line screaming “I told you they didn’t work!”

It really is a choice. I just can’t wrap my head around how people willfully accept the risks that come with COVID and choose to forgo the vaccine.

ignorance and overconfidence in their ability to survive the virus without any long lasting effects.

of the 10-30% of people who recovered from covid who are considered long-covid survivors, I wonder how many of them fit the above description?

A lot of covid survivors rarely admit they've spread this virus to others too. they're just victims but never perpetrators.:rudy:

I thank the man above that Covid hasn’t gotten me or affected my family and friends like that. I haven’t gotten it, atleast that I know of, and my fam has been pretty much Covid free. My cousin had it earlier, but he healed right up. I don’t know anyone who’s died, and I got a big fam that I’m close to in NC, MS, and Louisiana. Both sets of grandparents still here

The Lord has shielded us.
Get vaccinated. The “lord” ain’t real. Covid done snatched up many church folks relying on God, ain’t nothing special about you or your family. You just got lucky, and that luck can run out.

You’re a cool poster, but I didn’t ask you if the Lord was real or not. Black Americans are the most religious people in this country, and out of the 34% of black folks that have been vaccinated, I’m quite sure that most who have gotten the vax claim to be a Christian or religious. Most of the black folks getting vaccinated are older, and they’re the religious. Outside a few in my family, everyone is vaccinated and most are religious. Be careful who you’re trying to down, because all you end up doing is alienating those who were getting the vax. I simply spoke my anecdotal piece, just as everyone else has. I’m vaccinated by the way; well I’ve received my 1st shot a couple weeks ago.

This is why a lot of the vaccinated crew has trouble getting people to listen. Ya’ll have trouble talking to people. “Ain’t nothing special about you or your family” You disrespected my mostly fully vaccinated family all because you assumed they weren’t, which you came to that assumption based on us being religious. So disrespectful, yet you’ll claim to care about people.

I only had a problem with your statement in which it you make it sound that God is selectively choosing who he “shields” from the virus versus the ones he didn’t.. wasn’t trying to disrespect your people breh, my bad :manny:

What gets me is the people that think they’re just going to run from Covid unvaccinated for the rest of their lives. The virus isn’t going away. :heh:

the people who kept saying this last march and april were the ones who made it a reality today. the people who don't have the virus are the ones on that island firing arrows at any outsider.. social distancing and quarantine works for preventing the spread of diseases, it's been practiced for a millennia.

I don’t understand your first sentence in this context but I agree with the last one. :ld:

The people who kept saying "The virus isn't going away" were the same ones refusing to social distance, wear masks or take the vaccine. Their actions ensured that this virus would indeed not go away.

It's just the flu.

Variants are going to get worse. Death and suffering will get closer and closer to them. Some of them will change their mind and get vaccinated and won’t admit it. Others will just suffer severe consequences of their choices and have to live with that
