Exactly, everyone knew who 50 was by '99. That's the same year as How to Rob and Life's on The Line lmao.

There's even a rare street remix featuring Tony Yayo that's still to be released in full.

50 was worldwide famous by the mid-end of 99 and that cannot be said for Chamillionaire and Paul Wall.

Also, I didn't say they were shyt so why was he all in his feelings lol.

50 made the melodic style popular, what's so difficult to believe about that?
see :mjlol:...this what southern nikkas be talking about on this forum. If its popping in New York they think its poppin everywhere, but our shyt is always "local"...NOBODY KNEW 50 CENT DOWN HERE UNTIL WANKSTA....
:mjlol:tryna cyse How To Rob and his unreleased ass album :gucci:

@letti cook

For tha record for the second time, I like both of them I just don't think they are responsible for making that flow popular.

I am not disputing who did it first as it's not rocket science to make the melodic flow in that specific way your style and since they lived so far apart I'm sure they both naturally came to it on their own. But Cham and Paul Wall didn't blow til mid-00s AFTER Gawdfather made that style of melodic flow popular and the industry was chasing talents to mimic the trend set by 50.

It's the same as Bone Thugs and Twista/Dr. Dre and Jermaine Dupri/ DMX and Ja Rule/ 50 Cent and Ja Rule.

It's not necessarily about who did it first it's just that it's not rocket science to achieve it.

Also, 50 was doing the melodic flow before Ja Rule's debut album which was in 1999. 50 was doing the melodic flow since he came out on JMJ Records and released the Glow Of A Thug single I lanked you earlier.

So like I said, 50 was technically first.

I gave you facts and receipts and all you've done is show me your emotions.

I got up on this from an old website called down-south.com they used to review just all southern shyt so heaps of indie stuff you wouldn’t hear about unless you were in Houston etc. they gave it 5 Stars so I hunted down all the tracks I could find on Kazaa or linewire whatever I was using backthen. I had a couple of joints missing but we used to bump the shyt out of this back in 02.

Dangggggggg, what do you know about down-south.com I was on that junk too! But Yea, this cd got wore out for me. Definitely was a banger

Chamillionnaire and Paul Wall didn't pop until like 04 stop using your revisionist goggles.

I gave you pure facts and a receipt and you delusional fukks still keep coming at me with your fxcking opinions.

If you ask a casual or Hip-Hop fan they'll tell you 50 was first.

Go listen to your local Texas rap and fxck off!

You got it fam "It was notable in the Houston underground rap scene when it managed to sell over 350,000 copies independently without the backing of a major label."
