I read post someone made talking about how some people get contracting jobs paying 6 figures after their military service. For those who have served in the military, how do you get set up to have a contracting job after your service is over?
Thanks, appreciate it!I'm assuming you're talking IT contracting? If so, I did 4 years in the service, contracted for 14 years and now i'm a federal civilian.
For you to make 100k fresh out of the military, you're probably going to had been working on that contract while on active duty. I know a chick making 90k that got out last year, she did 20 years active, attractive and will do whatever she has to.
Make connections with contractors while your in, go job fairs for the military and apply apply apply. BTW, EVERYONE ain't making six figures. It really depends on your job, work location and clearance level.
