Getting back right with God

Alright. Basically I'm at the point in my life where I've attempting to connect back with the man upstairs and live a righteous lifestyle.

I realize I've been putting a lot of negativity into the universe and I'm trying to be a better person.

Like over the past year I took the time to have an hour of prayer and worship on sunday mornings by playing gospel house music...and trying to go into the scriptures and whatnot.

And watching Sa Neter's biblical debates and studies helped me to get a better understanding of the word.

So anybody else trying to rebuke the ill wills of satan?

Never thought I would make this thread, but I realize that i had been exerting and projecting a lot of negativity up on these boards and I needed to check myself.

Matthew 6:33. If you want to start righteously, go directly to the source and pray how you truly feel. There's no secret phrase to say. Speaking purely from your heart to the Lord is all He wants. If you're confused, say so.. If you're angry at Him, say so. But let it be real and remember you're talking to the King of all things. Can't move righteously on your own, you're supposed to do it with Him.

I’m at the same crossroads right now (for about a year now) albeit I still think religion is the opiate of the masses. I just know no matter what I achieve - there’s still a vacuum in there.

So I tend to read the Bible 2/3 times weekly & pray daily. God is real.

Whatever it takes to elevate your state, breh. Your posts were sounding mighty angry recently but make sure you're doing it for real and as a way of hiding what you truly feel and what was motivating your previous spiel.

Too many people fake the funk when it comes to getting right because such is the trap of organized religion but get in where you fit in.

If you are going to get deeper into the Word and truly follow Jesus, I'd say avoid Sa Neter. He's one of those new agers. Reading the Bible for yourself and finding a pastor that doesn't preach smooth sermons, but rather the true Word is key...

Yea. I needed to really reconsider where my energies are directed because I can tell others can read it.

But I actually used to go to church every sunday back in the day, and then when I graduated high school and started college I just stopped.

So it's not like I'm one of those types that is just picking it up to pick it up.

Its like I've said before:

Nothing is external. It all springs from inside your mind, your awareness. That is the root of all problems and source of all solutions in this realm.

If you see someone hating all the time then its because there is hatred inside that isn't being directed where it should correctly nor dealt with. The rants are then used as a vent to ease the pressure within by raging at someone else. People who don't peep this and become "overnight righteous" as they go from knucklehead to kufi wearer still have the same violence within, just now express it via filtered intent but its not real growth or progress.

They're trying on a new skin that association brings whilst using it as a way to distance from older (but more authentic) Self. That rage didn't go anywhere and in reality they are no different beyond building the image in peoples heads they are now righteous when they're really just acting.
