I get what he is trying to say but he didn't have to say that about Roots. Hopefully this will get a black film maker with money to make a REAL movie about slavery. (Tyler Perry or even get Oprah to back it) I find it interesting that slavery is back in the mainstream conversation..ya know..we are talking about a movie with slavery in it but still not talking about it.

There were a few inaccuracies in his analysis. For instance, he confuses eugenics with phrenology. He gets a few other things mixed up, but I don't remember off the top of my head because I listened to this last night on a road trip. I do remember making the face a few times while listening to his review.

The dude is too consumed with hatred or WHATEVER for white people. It bleeds through all his work. I saw the movie in the theatre with white folks and I was too busy enjoying the film to be paying attention to their reaction to each utterance of the word "n!gger." Not only that, but he's from the school of thought that says Black people are mastered by that word. Bah. It's too much hate for my taste.
