1. No short hand texting. That’s for 40 year old women who want to text like they’re young. Use full words because you’re a grown adult male.

2. Never ask how her weekend was/ day was/ night was. Not on the initial. Ask what she’s up to in the current so she can lie and be kept on her toes for what’s about to come next. It will make her try to seem interesting to impress you. Also if she asks you, don’t respond to that. Get to your point. The initial texting is all about getting to see someone face to face, not pillow talking...

3. You learn nothing in Swahili. Ever. She can teach you instead. And you can tell her to teach you IN PERSON. Because it automatically seems like you’re trying to impress her. Text message convos are only about setting up face to face in the initial. It doesn’t even have to be anything, you can walk in the park or something. Just get face time.

4. A girl’s mom could be dying and she’ll still find time to text you back. Even if you think she’ll be too busy, never tell the woman that. It communicates insecurity. Stop communicating things that weren’t asked;
