Getting off social media is a GREAT move

Abandoning social media is a great move because it allows you to sit back while everyone exposes themselves. In bouts of power (which, let’s admit, life is one huge bout of power if you wish to make something of yourself) the person who reveals the least survives. Social media allows everyone to expose themselves knowingly or unknowingly.

Look at the Black Panther thread with the Shea butter Twitter agent talking about how the movie isn’t for white people to enjoy or even have an opinion on ... not realizing Black Panther was made by white people.

I gave up posting on that shyt and keep my biz to my self, I do get intel off of people dumb enough to telegraph their next move, so I can get a step ahead or out of the way

fukked my phone up last week so I'm using the older one for Internet. After not going on social media for more than a few days you ween yourself off the addiction. Feels like I barely browse IG and SC only posted a couple times over the week. Feels good not be immersed in social media for now

A gold rule is unless you making money off it, you have no business on there. It's so full of misinformation, it's not worth being on there casually anymore. It's really doing a number on society in general, it's no longer harmless fun like Myspace days but just a way to herd people and gather data on them.

If you not using social media to make money or really keep in contact with fam or "CLOSE" friends....then it is just a look at me vanity fest. I manage a companies IG account and they follow a gang of people. Sometimes i go throw the timeline like People's lives really revolve around these hearts and thumbs up

Yea, very freeing. I've never been really heavy into it anyways, although I have had episodes of checking it repeatedly like an empty fridge. I may dabble w/it every now and then to know what's what, but I aint missing nothin.

You should try controlling your experience better. I use to think that Facebook was on the verge of sucking incredibly bad about a year ago until my girl suggested (which I should have known to do) adjusting my settings. I strictly see stories only I want to see and see way less of people’s personal stories. I see stuff from Parkour groups, Muay Thai scholar, Time and TechInsider first before I see anything friends posted. Then, it mostly only shows reposts from friends and shares, not whole statuses

It’s really about what you decide to follow/watch, just like real world interactions. Good thing is you can efficiently change what you see unlike if you’re in a real world toxic environment.
